Hi, I’m Jess, an animal enthusiast and the proud founder of South Coast Dogs!

​For as long as I can remember I have had a strong passion for caring for animals. Whilst my friends were playing with babies and pushchairs as children, I was the little girl who had much more interest in caring for her toy animals...

 

My passion for animal welfare grew stronger as I got older, and after volunteering at several different animal sanctuaries around the world whilst traveling I found myself working within the RSPCA caring for dogs in one of their rescue centers. I will forever be thankful for that particular chapter in my life as it brought me many happy memories as well as a great deal of experience in both handling and caring for a huge variety of dogs and other animals. ​ I genuinely love all animals, but there is just something special about dogs that has always drawn me to work closely with them and have them in and around my life.

​My own dog Dora is rescue dog herself after she was the victim of ear cropping as a puppy. I was so pleased when my family a I were able to rescue her 3 years ago and give her a forever home, as she is truly a gentle giant and adored by all who meet her. 

​Being a large breed dog it was really important that Dora walks well both on and off the lead as well as being well mannered and socialized with other dogs, During my time raising Dora was when my 'light bulb moment' happened and the idea for South Coast Dogs was born! I wanted to create a dog walking business where I could put all of my knowledge of animal welfare, behavior, training and enrichment into practice to create a business that offers a set of services for pets that are to a high professional standard.

I am able offer dog walking services that are safe, fun and enriching for your beloved pooch where I can provide you my full support on your journey as a dog owner. South Coast Dogs is very proud to now be part of Dorset Dogs Professional Dog walkers charter, our mission is to promote best practice for all dog walking businesses operating throughout Dorset.
